I wait for it every time, and it never happens - so even if I can't do it as well as Peter could have.... (why didn't you get Sam into the room, damn you...)

this is for my own heart and, of course, for Flick....

Just... thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you for that. *tears of happiness* :D

I wish he was smiling - but it was hard enough to find a cap where he was standing up, in his good cloths and clean...

I actually needed less body length than I though I was going to, so if we can find a happier shot, I will try again.

I *so* needed to see him there, if only for a moment...

The only part at which I cried when I saw the movie again this weekend? Right here, and for that reason. Seeing this made me tear up again, but in a good way. What a wonderful picture, I can't stop staring at it. *sigh*

Thanks for starting my Thursday on such a lovely note. ::hugs you::

thanks for coming in to look. It's fine to have landed in a place where people indulge this behavior instead of holding their heads.

Lookit Legolas in his purdy white frock. Aww.

Seriously though. So lovely. ;_; Boromir.

Wish Sam was in it, too.

I really tried to get sam in, but he looked more like an apparition than Boromir.

Do you think Legolas knows Boromir and Aragorn are thinking about him as a "lithsome blonde?"

From: [identity profile] windswept1.livejournal.com
*groan* I read that as loathsome blonde at first glance.

The picture is very, very nice. Just how it should have been.

...this is for my own heart and, of course, for Flick....

...who thanks you from the bottom of *her* heart, which was "strangely warmed" as John Wesley would say. I would so love him to be there, and, dammit, he should have been. This made me very happy!

The only other pic that occurred to me was the one from the TT extended where he's in armor standing with Faramir by the stone wall (where they're both looking at Denethor). Don't have it here, so don't know if the eye-line would work. But he's clean and it could look like he's just come in off Captain-of-the-White-Tower duty. :sob:

I thought of using that - in fact, for a moment I thought of bringing them both in - but I didn't think there was enough body lenght. Now that I have worled with the picture, I think there might be... we will give that one a try.

what do you think? worth working on? the lighting is so different... And I moved him all around the room, but he kept going back to Aragorn (because he knows he drives him dotty...)

Very nice idea!
But you're having the same problem as I when fiddling with photomanipulations, the light is wrong. I don't know how to change the overall colour tones to adjust for it. Right now Boromir seems a bit... like those Force ghosties of Star Wars. :-P But very nice nevertheless.

From: [identity profile] fileg.livejournal.com
he's not really adjusted for colour here - I am still trying to see if we like this shot better than then other before I do all that photoshop voodoo. The answer - unfortunately, yes and no. He still doesn't really look happy, and I think I prefer the opulent look rather than the armoured for this scene. I think I will go back to adjusting the original choice, (unless someone finds a hot of him standing, smiling and looking down...)

Thanks for trying! He's gorgeous, as usual, but he's looking the wrong way. That's what I was afraid of. On the other hand, maybe he just sees Faramir coming down the hall.

thanks. It is so real in my head I even worked ouot an AU story line to get him there - not that I will ever write that sort of thing, just to play the head game. I will probably try a few versions of this till one makes us all smile.

Ahhhhh!

I think the Sam moment is perfect, though. After what he went through I would expect him to stand back from normality, to be wary. In fact, it feels to me that Frodo bounces in the hobbit pile primarily for the benefit of others, as he does so many things.

I'm sure it won't surprise you for a minute to know I *so* agree about Frodo. It is his way, and has also become his habit by this part.

Oh... thank you! This is exactly what I was seeing when I wrote "In Memoriam," and I'm not at all skilled with Photoshop, so I'm so glad someone else is!

Would you mind terribly if I added a link to this entry/image in my post for "In Memoriam"? I'd love everyone who read it to see such wonderful work... thanks!

*hugs you tight* Reunion, at last...

*hugs* Please do, though I am hoping to get a better version with a little work. I have become quite used to having this hournal as a place to show progress.

I faded him down to transparent in the first try, but it just made me hurt more. Back he came.

I also wait for it but it never happens. But I have the feeling that he`s there in spirit. Thank you for this . :-)

I wondered about making him slightly transparent - but it didn't give me all I needed. maybe I'll post all the various versions at some point. It amazes me how many of us expect to see him.

I am still looking for a good way to make you a diana/moon icon, but so far no luck - I did make three moon bunnies though. If you want any, feel free

lol....that's just great, it's too bad boromir's not smiling! maybe he's annoyed because he's spending too much time standing around watching hobbits hug eachother, and not enough time alone with aragorn! hmmmmm....that's an interesting question though...

hehehehe...thanx for making this! it's wonderful!

Actually, i wasn't sad to miss the entire company at the end, but that may have just been my strong fears of the imminent pillow-fight.
