the music meme - all over my f-list

Go to www.popculturemadness.com and select the year you became 18. Paste the list of the top 75 songs. Bold the ones you liked; strike the ones your disliked; and italicize the ones you know but don't exactly like nor dislike. The ones you don't know will stay common text. (I know all of them, so we'll skip that part)

Music is a large presence in my life, though the year I turned 18 doesn't seem as important to me than the music of the 60's which had a major effect on my life. By 1970 the music I loved best was winding down, at least from a billboard standpoint. In the 70's, what I was listening to can be better summed up with The Incredible String Band; Gordon Lightfoot and Leonard Cohen.

July 12 - September 12: Auf Wiederseh'n Sweetheart - Vera Lynn

There were so many wonderful songs that year, many of which I remember listening to on the schoolbus or with friends. Thanks for posting this meme, it's pretty neat. :-)

The year that was 1981....
