Got to see Chris tonight, more than just a driveby. She brought wings for dinner, and we watched Close My Eyes (which in spite of Alan Rickman and a young Clive Owen I can't recommend!) and Cold Comfort Farm which I heartily can. She left early-ish because she has to work tomorrow morning, but we are hoping to do The Core tomorrow afternoon.

Then Jim and I watched the penultimate Full Metal Alchemist leaving me clutching my head like a stunned monkey (I have owned them for ages, but have been making myself wait for the one a week thrill) and a bunch of marmalade boy.

I am about to wake him up and take him to bed when I got a note in my last email download of the day saying my icons had expired! Good grief, it was like a disaster bulletin, the hell with tornados and avalanches, where are my little boxes?!?

Well, as you probably figured out already, I forgot to sign out of my graphics name when I paid for them last week.... what a maroon....

At least it was quickly fixable, but one more proof of the sense of humor of the penates and lares of my household - great practical jokers, my spirits. My genii loci always find it necessary to pull some prank the moment I say "Well, I'm going to bed now..." usually assisted by the technospirits that live in our wires but love only [livejournal.com profile] notarysojac.

do you have fansubs? because all of FMA isn't finished. there are 51 episodes, and a sequel movie.

btw, if you like alan rickman, i suggest, "an awfully big adventure".

I have subs I purchased when my friends in England started raving about it - they are sub only, but I do have both sets. I just ordered the movie, but from the interviews in NewType, I gather whether or not it's actually a sequal is a going question?

I have the manga as well, but I understand the story diverges, so I haven't read any further than 4 or 5.

I do like Rickman, and I bought that movie for Chris for Yule! I'll have to borrow it.

FMA left me so scattered that I had to watch the last one on YouTube! I'm sad it's over but there's a movie and I've read that Funimation recently annouced that they have liscensed it! If there's any justice in the world it might have theatre release!

In the most recent NewType the interview with the creators suggested that the movie isn't exactly a sequel - (it's hard to read an article on the same page as spoilers, though, so I may have missed something. I just ordered the the movie from my pusher regular connection.

I had exactly the opposite reaction! I can't stand knowing there's only one one episode.

Chris hasn't seen anything since the middle of season 1, and when she got home from my house, decided to watch the last 15 minutesof this episode - and then call me screaming!
