It was an assigned cap at arwen_stills I moved her couch over the curtains, because I wanted to hint at that silver veil that lies between here and the west, and used a motion blur and a watercolor filter (actually, I use that filter on nearly everything in some fashion lately)
I've worked with that Osgiliath cap that 1&2 come from so many times, that I flopped it left to right for that challenge to get a new perspective. Bean looks fine to me, but David's face curves in the wrong direction. (the peril of memorizing your subject)
19 is a first try at redoing my "understands strength" icon. The lyric is Springsteen
I'm afraid it's worse than that - it's not the cap, it's him. His nose, philtrum and the cleft in his chin all curve slightly to the right of his body - now I have them curving to the left.
You have been productive, haven't you?*g* I love what you did with the unseen Evenstar. Hell, I love what you do.
I'm biting my lip over Elendil, Isildur and Gil-galad. Last night Isildur was a hero and tonight he'll be so again but then fall. I always try to remember the first when I think about the second.
I was capping the 2nd age bits for something kortirion got me going on, and I was struck by the similarity of expression Isildur has in these two caps. Maybe that's just Harry Sinclair's "shocked" face... but the thought that losing the ring had become like losing the father....
I get broody now and again over how Isildur falls *alone* - I hinted at that in an early drabble out here, but one of these days...
I love his grim expression, just before #21, which says so eloquently that he no longer keeps the ring because he wants to. I also love that he wears it over his armor. Never mind that he does so because we have to be able to see it; that and the hesitation before he puts in on speak of pain.*shivers*
Alright, I want to make an Isildur icon, the perfect expression of "between a rock and a hard place".
In 1 and 2 it's scary how alike the two of them look. I really like 12 and 14 because, whee! hobbits. 19's cool and 24-30 give me the wilies for the same reason that section of the film did.
Your icons are so awesome. I'm using many of them (crediting you of course) for the Tabula Rasa RPG. Mine are simply crops with perhaps text. Enough to get an idea across, but yours are stunning. I must point our Eowyn player to you.
