Glad the earring reached you. I have been a slug the last few weeks - reading has been painful, so all I did was make icons which I could do in short bursts.
You ought to get Avon to send you an old Aussie series called Bodyline. It's from the 80s and Hugo Weaving looks really, really good in it. His character required him to be a little arrogant too and that comes out really well, and he has this sort of jutting out tooth that doens't look out of place at all.:)

True. It's very old so I doubt if they'll still show reruns. They used to show reruns of it here off and on but I haven't seen one in about 5 years now:o But I think if you're open to purchasing it, you should be able to get a DVD soemwhere or the other.
Gosh, I'd totally forgotten Hugo as Jardine until you brought that up! I certainly watched it back when it was first on - my sister is a big cricket fan - but I'm afraid that even if we had taped it we would have lost it by now. ;-)

Do you? I love him as Elrond, so stately - but I love him best as Hugo, especially when scruffy. In character, I think I might have to say I love Tick best. But there is still quite a lot I haven't seen, including the Matrix stuff...

I think the thing is that I'm not really into actors and never was, not even as a teenager. In my mind I guess I mingle the actor, the character played by that actor and my own image of the character into my own private SQUEEbject. And I've been an Elrond fangurl for 25 years this year, can you imagine?
I'm not over the top for actors as actors, myself - (obviously, a few notable exceptions, but the list is small) but I live with artists and photographers, and Hugo photos totally send me. He's so full of life and emotion. I love the B&W shot of him with his brother Simon!
And yes, I can *easily* imagine where you are with Elrond.... because I have been totally, spiritually (and otherwise) in love with Faramir since 1963. Getting Old? Honey, I am never going there!!
