There were eight of us, total, hiding in the Brockenbores by the hills of Scary. We had given up home and hearth, and even colour… we wore brown. Deep as the good earth we fought for, it gave us some cover in shadow without resorting the to black the others wore.
You might not think there was much we could do – and we might once have agreed. We wanted nothing but safety and peace and our quiet lives.
But when an iron fist on your own front door bids you “Open in the name of Mordor!” your courage must find you.
