rotflmao!

That bird one, especially (the others are obvious, but birds stealing quarters and leaving them on rooftops is... mythic).

That's like when crows and ravens (ahem) in Tokyo wait for the streetlight to turn red before dropping walnuts on the crosswalk so cars will run over them and break them open. Of course, that actually accomplishes something. These birds in the picture are just playing mind games with us, it seems.

=)

I did not know that starlings had the corvid fascination for shinysparkly! Not related species last I looked. Pretty amazing.

I read that corvids in South Africa living near a coastal power plant put clams & mussels on the tarmac under the hot sun and piled pebbles over them to make little ovens, dining on steamed seafood when they had opened.

Being not so fond of cooking or eating filter-feeders, I do not know if this is a believable story from the engineering view.

I guessed that might be familiar to you! I was quite addicted for years, but then BBCAmerica started changing the time every month...

BTW - The 'allo 'allo box set is terrifying. I wish they had done all seasons!

I think corvids just like to make people crazy. They are much too smart.

I expect it of corvids, who know they are descended from trickster gods ----

I was addicted for years and then I realized it was just making me *depressed*! I still usually end up watching the Christmas day episodes, though.

I have yet to see any of the matrix movies - but Dot -- now that's terrifying.

The sequels I could take or leave - although I enjoyed pointing out all of the parallels between the final film and LotR - but the original really is unmissable.
