Beasts of Burden
Team: Dunedain
Characters: If you hate ten member fellowships, better skip this...
Not what I meant to write. A beginning for the minor character challenge.
Master Elrond thought deeply and long how best to form a fellowship that would counterbalance the dark perversions of the shadow. In the end, he decided that since all of the walkers would be ringbearers, so all the free peoples must be represented, each giving a weight of years.
So we were chosen – one maia, one elf, one dwarf, two men, four halflings… and one beast.
Each had a job to do; the same job, in turn. Each of us carried the ringbearer, so that he might bear the weight of the ring, and each was excused when his time was done.
