faramir_fics, the theme for the week is non-angsty Faramir. Sounds good - but think about what that implies. And indeed, the writeup goes like this:
Can I just say - NO!!!!!! I Don't like to torment him, I don't like him girly, dissolute or stupid, weepy or incapable. It has nearly driven me out of my only fandom twice just in recent memory.
Write whatever you want, but for god's sake, don't include me in your generalizations.
And Tolkien started it? I defy you to show me where. (And don't come around pointing at the problems he was faced with - show me Faramir acting angsty about it, or don't wave it at me.)

I've noticed something about fanfic writers. We love to torment poor Faramir, don't we? I guess Tolkien started it, but he's just so fun to write angst for...
That being said, this week's drabble challenge is Anything but Angst. Pretty self-explanatory- you can make it happy, fluffy, whatever, feel free to borrow from older challenge topics, but no torturing our favorite Steward this week. :D

Leather fetish
Jun. 17th, 2004 08:54 pmSo, I am sitting on the couch holding the belt and scabbard for Strider's sword, and smelling all the leather, and just drooling like a maniac fangirl. Guh. See it here:
