I love his grim expression, just before #21, which says so eloquently that he no longer keeps the ring because he wants to. I also love that he wears it over his armor. Never mind that he does so because we have to be able to see it; that and the hesitation before he puts in on speak of pain.*shivers*

Alright, I want to make an Isildur icon, the perfect expression of "between a rock and a hard place".
